The ‘Virtual patient’ session is most participants’ favorite part. Virtual patients are divided in 2 groups with one Moderator in each group, aiming to approach a difficult case. More and more are the patients with Benign Prostate Hyperplasia who are indicated for surgical treatment, but who do not have the approval of Anaesthesiologists for surgery. The most common issue is the administration of antiplatelet drugs after angioplasty, which should not be interrupted. How do we manage such patients? Will they all have to be put in permanent catheter? Are there therapeutic strategies for prevention? If we cannot prevent, are there other solutions? Virtual Patient #1 is an active man who suffers from LUTS and whose Cardiologist has forbidden him to do surgery (no interruption of drugs allowed).
