He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens (1989) and worked as a Resident at the Urology Clinic of the University of Athens, at 'Laikon' Hospital, and received the title of Urology Specialty in 1998. He received further training in Urodynamics – Video Urodynamics, Gynecological Urology and Restorative Surgery of the Urinary System at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield, United Kingdom. He served as a Scientific Associate of the University Urology Clinic of 'Laikon' Hospital for 2.5 years (1999-2001). In 1999, he was proclaimed Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU). From 2001 to 2007, he was employed as a Junior Registrar at the Urology Clinic of the University of Thessaly, where he organised and ran the Neuro-urology – Urodynamics Clinic as its Scientific Head. In 2002, he received his PhD in Medicine from the University of Athens. In 2007, he was appointed Junior Registrar at the 2nd Urology Clinic of the University of Athens at Sismanogleion Hospital and currently serves as Senior Registrar of that clinic. He was a scholar of the Hellenic Urological Association ('Apostolos Deliveliotis' and 'Urodynamics' scholarships). He participated as a Researcher in Greek and international mutli-centre studies and has been invited as a speaker-lecturer at 59 Scientific Events (Conferences – Symposia – Seminars). He is a member of Greek and international scientific associations, including the European Association of Urology (EAU) and the International Continence Society (ICS). He has served as member and President of the Coordinating Committee of the ONOGO (Urodynamics, Neuro-urology & Gynecological Urology) Department of the Hellenic Urological Association (2009-2013). He is a reviewer for international and Greek journals and a member of the Editorial Board of the 'Greek Urology' journal. His scientific work includes numerous papers at Greek and International Conferences, 40 complete publications (23 in international and 17 in Greek journals), as well as chapters for 3 Greek Urology textbooks.
