He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Patras with Degree grade “Very Good” (7.67). In August 2003 he received the licence to practise the medical profession. After his rural medical service in the Health Centre of Karlovasi, island of Samos (also covering the Community of Ano Vathi), from 10/2003 to 12/2004, he completed his specialization in General Surgery at the Surgery Clinic of the General Hospital of Preveza in 2006. Since April 2007, he has been a PhD candidate at the Department of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He began his Residency in the Urology Clinic of the General Hospital of Korinthos and completed his specialization training in the Urology Clinic of the "G. Gennimatas" General Hospital in Athens in 2012. He is a Member of the Greek Urological Association, the European Association of Urology and American Urological Association. In October 2010 he was elected a ‘Fellows-in-Training Representative’ in the Education Committee of the Greek Urological Association for the period 2010-2012. He got the title of specialisation in Urology and the FEBU title (Fellow of the European Board of Urology) in 2012. He has participated in 3 international publications and two Greek publications and has also participated with 28 papers in Greek and international conferences. He has received the award “The Karl Storz 3rd prize” for the free communication "OUR EXPERIENCE WITH OPEN RADICAL PROSTATECTOMY THROUGH A 6CM INCISION FOR THE TREATMENT OF LOCALIZED PROSTATE CANCER" at the EAU Congress within the context of the 6th SEE Meeting in Istanbul in October 2010. Also, he received the first prize for a free communication at the 19th National Congress of Urology for the paper "Accumulation of Advanced Glycation End-products (AGEs) and localization of their receptor in the reproductive system of male mice with metabolic syndrome" in the context of his Doctoral Thesis. As part of his ongoing training, he has attended various conferences, events and seminars.
